On Tuesday, November 13, 2018, the Queen Anne County Council of Homemakers Fall Luncheon was called to order by President Dottie Grier at 10:00 am. We recited the Pledge of Allegiance and sang “God Bless America. We recited the Homemakers Creed.

Minutes were read and approved.
The Treasurer’s Report showed balances of (Amount on file) in the checking account and (Amount on file) in the C.D. The report was filed for audit.
Home Arts Chair, Mary Ellen Leaverton, reported that 45 kids from Tuesday through Friday took part in the Pillow Making Workshop. The Workshop taught how to use sewing machines. In 2019, The Pillow Making Workshop will take place from Monday through Friday of Fair Week. Don’t forget to bring fiberfill and material to the Spring Luncheon. Thank you to all who helped at the Fair.
Health Chair, Phyllis Boone, reminded us to do “Balance Exercises.” Use the stairway railings and banisters and be aware of your surroundings.
Hunter Titus told us of the available T-shirts and Polo-shirts. You may choose any color, writing or material for $15 or $20. Each club should vote at meetings.
Recognition Chair, Ethel Boyle, announced the recipients of the year inductions. They are Kelly Somers and Lucy (Cookie) McElroy. We will have to decide if there should be another plaque purchased.
Web Chair, Elaine Dow, reported that the web page is up to date. The Wye Mill program has been completed.
By-Laws Chair, Jackie Vieney, reported that the By-Laws need some re-alignment. They will meet in December.
Audit Committee Chair, Ann Vogt, reported that the audit will be done in January as usual.
Scholarship Chair, Annabelle Taylor, informed us that A Scholarship will be awarded in the Spring and Fall. If anyone has a possible recipient, contact your school’s Guidance Counsels.
Our speaker, Scott MacGlashan, is the Clerk of the court for Queen Anne County. It was well received. He told us that the County has had good judges. Family Law is quite different from Criminal Law. Various important documents must be filed with the Court Clerk’s Office.
Madeline Hollis offered our Grace. We enjoyed our luncheon.
Arlene Warner was installed as Vice President.
Door prizes were distributed.
Our Tea Cup Auction netted $129.
Ethel Boyle moved and Mary Ellen Leaverton seconded a motion to adjourn. Motion Passed.
The luncheon was adjourned at 1:50 p.m.
